Across the decades the society has evolved with the community.
At present we hold two shows a year in the Village Hall to capture the best vegetables, flowers, craft and photography submitted by all ages. The Autumn Show is on Sunday 24 September. We look forward to seeing you there. Tea and delicious homemade cake available!
We also hold two talks in the autumn and two in the spring. Recently we have enjoyed hearing Timothy Walker ex-Botanic Garden, Derry Watkins and Lucille Savin from Merton College.
Coach trips are made to NT gardens like Sissinghurst and others during the year. Holidays in the UK and abroad have included a trip to Seville in the spring to experience the scent of the orange blossom. Trips to Northumberland and the Scottish Borders are planned. We also run a lively series of plant sales through the summer.
Finally, members may get a discount when buying plants in some local garden centres. We look forward to welcoming new members. For a membership form look at WHS on the Wolvercote.org website.
