The Wolvercote WI Quiz

After 3 years the WI Quiz returned to the Village Hall on 22^nd February, following Covid restrictions. 22 teams of 4 pitted their wits against a huge variety of questions posed by Diana and Maureen, ranging from literature to history – some even involved a bit of Latin (well we are in Oxford after all!).

A delicious range of ‘brain’ food was on offer, so quizzers could feast on savoury and sweet snacks along with drinks from the bar.

Thank you to all those involved and to the WI members for organising it and providing all the refreshments. Thank you also to those who donated to the raffle prizes.

The Church team won the Barbara Gray Memorial Cup. At the end of the evening the crowd all said they had thoroughly enjoyed the welcome return of the quiz and enthusiastically voted for another one. The next chance to win it will be in 2024.

The WI welcomes new members and visitors to come and join us (7.30pm, 2^nd Tuesday of the month, Village Hall).
